London Calling … Euro Design’s most popular collection is an instant classic
Ironically enough, London had nothing to do with the inspiration for the design of its namesake collection. Luc Parietti, furniture designer, and managing director of Euro Design Furniture, explains how he came up with the unique design.
“I was watching a documentary on architecture, and the show was focused on the Arche de la Defense in Paris (below),” says Luc. “I was mesmerized by this giant beveled U-shaped building. Immediately I started to envision drawers and cabinets fitting inside and manically sketched them.” Twenty years later, it is one of our most popular collections … a timeless classic.”
Euro Design’s London Collection is such a design. Of all Euro Design’s collections, London is the one that usually grabs a designer’s attention. “Elegant, classy and slick” are the adjectives that routinely pass their lips. The flawlessly executed 45-degree angles and substantial, yet refined, stature of this collection are what appeals to most buyers.
But the flexibility of London is what makes it a favorite of interior designers. Dressed in BMW black or metallic anthracite car lacquer, London emits a design-driven sophisticated vibe that cannot be denied. Wrapped in fine teak-wood, oak, or maple the horizontal lines and natural materials create an understated aura of zen.
